Your delivery arrives. Before putting everything away, take a moment to find the information that belongs with it.
At kayr, shipping is included, packaging is discreet, and temperature-controlled shipping is used when required. The instructions for your particular prescription still matter. Keep them somewhere you can find again.
check what is in front of you
Look for your name, the medication name, the dispensing pharmacy, and the written directions. Compare them with the plan you discussed with your provider.
If something is missing or does not match, ask the pharmacy to clarify before using the medicine. You do not need to work out the answer from the packaging design or from a photo online.
pay attention to storage
Read the storage instructions promptly. For injectable GLP-1 medicines, the FDA advises against using a shipment that arrives warm or without adequate refrigeration. Contact the pharmacy if that happens rather than assuming cooling it afterward resolves the concern. FDA: shipping and storage concerns
Ask the pharmacist about anything unclear, including storage after opening and the date after which the medicine should no longer be used. Different products can have different instructions.
get instructions you understand
Before the first dose, make sure you understand the prescribed amount, schedule, and how to use the supplied equipment, if any. Ask for an explanation or demonstration when needed. Do not guess or borrow someone else's instructions.
You can say, “Please walk me through what this label means.” That is a practical request, even if you have used a prescription before.
keep the right contacts close
Save the dispensing pharmacy's contact details for questions about the medicine, packaging, or storage. Save your provider's contact route for questions about your treatment plan.
